Professional meetings

France Livre (formerly BIEF) and the French Institute of Japan are joining forces to organize a two days Meeting between Japanese and French publishers, on Monday, June 29th and Tuesday, June 30th at the French Institute in Tokyo.

The purpose of this professional event is to discuss editorial news in Japan and France, and to create a network of partner publishers. We also want to offer a moment of exchange in quieter conditions than during the major book fairs.  

Half-a-day of conferences about the market in Japan and in France, an informal lunch-buffet and individuals meetings will constitute the whole programme.

All editorial themes will be represented by 26 French publishers (literature, humanities, children’s books, comics and graphic novels, DIY, leisure and art books). Some of them will be present in Tokyo at the French Institute (15 Ichigaya-funagawara-machi, Shinjuku-ku) and some others available online,  for online meetings.

All interested Japanese editors and agents are welcome! For organizational reasons, we kindly ask you to register before next May 22.
