France Livre, in partnership with SOFIA, is inviting 15 publishers from abroad to spend a professional week in Paris in order to broaden their knowledge of the French book market. 

 

This program proposes
  • “B-to-B” meetings with French publishers during the Paris Book Market, which will take place on June 4th and 5th in Paris;
  • several round tables to discuss the main stakes of both the Humanities and Literature publishing in France and elsewhere;
  • visits to publishing houses and bookshops.
 
In order to participate, you must
  • be available from May 31st to June 6th, 2026 in Paris;
  • be an editorial executive/manager in Literature or the Humanities (no children’s books, YA, comic books, or illustrated books);
  • manage French sufficiently to be able to read a text in French and to understand someone speaking in French;
  • be able to express yourself in French.
 
Financial aspects
  • participants’ hotel bills will be paid by France Livre, which also pays a per diem (€50/day);
  • participants will pay their own traveling expenses.
 
Please note!
  • it is not possible to participate in the Fellowship twice;
  • only one entry per publishing house.
